SMARTWOOD
SmartWood, a certification program accredited by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), has just awarded the world's largest FSC certification to Alberta-Pacific Forest Industries Inc. (Al-Pac), for sustainable management of 5.5 million hectares of forestland in Alberta, Canada. SmartWood is run by the Rainforest Alliance, the world's largest FSC-accredited forest certifier, with more than 28 million hectares currently under certification.
